AlexanderSemin has many talents, but clearly fighting is not one of them. This video of AlexanderSemin fighting Marc Staal is a must see. I’m not sure who should be more embarassed, Semin for his fighting skills, or Staal for being the victim of this hideous display of a hockey fight. I’m sure that Semin would [...]
AlexanderSemin is on the ice practicing with his teammates for the first time since being injured by a crosscheck from St. Louis' David Backes back on Dec. 18. Donald Brashear (leg bruise) is also out on the Kettler ice, as is Karl Alzner (hand bruise), John Erskine (concussion) and Brian Pothier (concussion) once again. More to come.
A good thing the linesmen broke this up when they did, because I think that that goon AlexanderSemin was planning a devastating "pinkbelly" attack that could have effectively ended both players' careers....
Someone might want to tell Marc Staal and AlexanderSemin that if you're going to have a hockey fight, you might as well do it right. And slapping each other doesn't quite cut it. Neither player will get any manliness points after this "throw down."
For all the criticism out there about Caps left wing AlexanderSemin's fighting style, we'd like to point out that New York Rangers defenseman Marc Staal is equally bad at curl and drag fakes, nifty stickhandling moves and goal scoring. While the big lumbering defenseman may fight in a more traditional hockey style, we like Semin's originality in the above video from this weekend's...
On Saturday night the Rangers played the Capitols. It got a little tense between a few players, as things usually do in hockey games. A scuffle broke out between Ranger Marc Staal and Caps player AlexanderSemin. I can't call...
Sunday tickets sales - a whole lot of Disney. Ticketmaster faces more questions. AlexanderSemin embarrasses himself. Ticketmaster and TicketsNow vs Canada. Weekly Ticket News. Ticketmaster responds to criticism. And the NFL playoff schedule.
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- We finally made it out to our first hockey game of the season last night had a great time watching our nation's Capitals beat the New York Rangers. The Rags scored first, but Mike Green responded soon after with his ninth goal of the season. AlexanderSemin got the assist on a bang-bang play. Alex Ovechkin won the game on a short-handed goal in the wanning seconds...
AlexanderSemin shows off his unusual fighting style against Nick a Staal brother. Good thing the refs broke it up before the scratching started. Not in the face! [via Puck Daddy]
Check out this sick shot of the Capitals' Niklas Backstrom. Clydeorama has an excellent series from the Caps' victory against the New York Rangers, including a capture from AlexanderSemin's first career fight (with Ranger Mark Staal), which led to Semin's ejection. Gnarly! Speaking of fighting and the causing thereof: How did Alexander Ovechkin get looked over for the...
from Tarik El-Bashir of Capitals Insider at the Washington Post, AlexanderSemin engaged in his first career fight tonight with Rangers defenseman Marc Staal, who had two small scratches under his right eye after the encounter. And for those of you who weren’t watching the game, check out the first video. Descriptions of Semin’s punches toward the end of the fight ranged from him...
AlexanderSemin engaged in his first career fight tonight with Rangers defenseman Marc Staal, who had two small scratches under his left eye after the encounter. And for those of you who weren't watching the game, check out the first video. Descriptions of Semin's punches toward the end of the fight ranged from him playing the bongos to him looking like Energizer Bunny beating...
“Best ever.” With the 2-1 win over the New York Rangers tonight, the Caps now have – with their 26-11-3 record – their best 40-game start in franchise history. It was a hard earned win, to be sure. Let’s get to it… We’re giving AlexanderSemin a new nickname – “Bongo.” If you saw his “fight” against Marc Staal in the third period, you’ll understand. And what was with the pink undershirt,...
