Balko points to this interview with Alberto Gonzales where he shows just how disconnected from reality he truly is. To wit: "What is it that I did that is so fundamentally wrong, that deserves this kind of response to my service?" he said during an interview Tuesday, offering his most extensive comments since leaving government. During a lunch meeting two blocks from the White House,...

Short fiction writer Alberto Gonzales is confused, asking in a recent interview , "What is it that I did that is so fundamentally wrong, that deserves this kind of response to my service?" If Gonzales is trying this unctuous nonsense in an attempt at image-rehabilitation, he needs to hire a professional PR company. If he's asking this question in earnest, he is demonstrably insane....

ArchieG points us to Gen. JC Christian 's heartwarming plea to WalMart to hire the out-of-work disgrace as a greeter: He has a lot to offer a company like Wal-Mart. If someone asks him where to return merchandise, he could tell them he doesn't recall, or better yet, say something like, "You did not buy that here; you built it in your garage," or "Uh, you're at the wrong place. This isn't Wal-Mart....

Just when you thought the snakes couldn't slither any lower : Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales tells the Wall Street Journal that he considers himself one of the "casualties of the war on terror" for being singled out for criticism over administration policies. Of course, some of us tried to stop him from becoming AG in the first place, but John E. had no problem with his disregarding...

Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, head clown for some of the Bush Administration's wackiest episodes, will write a tell-all book about his experiences at the Department of Justice. I find this curious. After all, Gonzales is the guy who went before the Senate Judiciary Committee to answer questions about the U.S. Attorneys scandal and managed to utter the words "I don't...

It's a terrible shame that no one is willing to hire a former Attorney General of the United States. That's especially true for Alberto Gonzales, a man who's proven that he'd do absolutely anything (lie, violate the constitution, break US law, excuse torture. etc.) for his employer. Wal-Mart's benefited greatly from the anti-labor policies of the Bush Administration. I think it's time...

Steve Benen nails it . GONZALES FEELS SORRY FOR HIMSELF.... Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales left office in disgrace 16 months ago, and has kept a low profile since. His reputation has not improved in the interim -- Gonzales has struggled to find a law firm willing to hire him -- but at least he hasn't said or done anything ridiculous since his departure from public...
