Vansurf What could be better? VW vans and kites? Not quite a kite festival at the legendary Black Rock Sands, but a VW meet with a bit of kiting thrown in. Limited landbased kiting, but definitely loads of water based fun. Let's just hope there's a bit of wind eh?

Taken with the horrible camera phone as usual I’m afraid, but they should give you an idea. Sunday seemed to be the best day weather-wise, but there were fewer people thank I had imagined. The Bugle was delighted to get his bike fixed up by the Bike Doctors (I think her name was Betty - [...]

The BBC Weather Forecast (which hasn't been particularly accurate of late) is promising "heavy showers" for Saturday, which is a shame, as we're hoping to attend the Blackheath Bike and Kite Festival . It's actually on Saturday and Sunday, so we're still in with a chance. Some highlights- o Holland kite team and Belgium’s ‘Atomic’ kite team, who will bring a variety of inflatable kites and kite trains,...
