Well, hello there. Today, I went to the local market and bought my fruit and veg for the next week or so and then took a trip to my butchers and picked up a load of meat. My butcher is in Stourbridge and sells top quality meat at very reasonable prices.. A winning combination, obviously. Anyhoo, the weather was thoroughly miserable today. The brilliant British chef behind the Fat Duck and the Hinds Head in Bray - just inked to open in the London Mandarin Oriental next fall with an Adam Tihany-designed space serving English food on a more historical scale - was in town on his way back from Venezuela, where he demonstrated his flaming sorbet.
