NY Fashion Week: `Stronger clothes' a sign of serious times

Designer Peter Som speaks reverently about Frank Gehry's modern architecture in the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. He was so taken with the clean sweep of the lines that it became inspiration for his upcoming spring fashion collection that he'll show off during New York Fashion Week.

NYC Fashion Week Begins Today!

Well.. unofficially. The official start of New York Fashion Week for the Spring/Summer 2008 season is September 5 and it continues all the way through Wednesday, September 12. I read that there's gonna be something like 200 fashion shows in 8 days at the tents and offsite. Insane . We're leaving for NYC Fashion Week tomorrow and I'm excited!
