Filed under: Aftermarket , Tuners , Japan , Supercars , Acura , Honda Click above for a high-res gallery of the Honda NSX-R. Honda's decision to only offer one Type-R model in the U.S. - the DC2 Integra - is still considered a crime among Hondaphiles. And of all the models that could have benefited from a serious performance injection later in life, the NSX was a prime candidate. Thankfully, Spoon...

Filed under: Sports/GTs , Supercars , Acura , Honda , Rendered Speculation The new Acura/Honda NSX may still be a couple of years away, but when talking about the sequel to such a dynamically legendary supercar, time won't stop speculation from ramping up and details from leaking. True to its name, Inside Line has put together what it believes is an accurate depiction - both visually and technically...

How could we define this as anything but protectionist spirit? The comparison offered by Auto Express is hardly believable, reporting that the Honda NSX will challenge the Aston Martin V8, Jaguar[...]

Filed under: Spy Photos , Supercars , Acura , Honda We've seen plenty of shots of the Honda/Acura NSX hangin' 'round the 'Ring, but unlike previous photos, the crew at Cartribe was able to catch a brief glimpse of the cloaked mule's interior. A clearer view of the gauges reveals a clean chronograph-like arrangement, with large numerals framed by chrome rings. Although the rest of the dash is covered...

Filed under: Spy Photos , Supercars , Acura , Honda , Rendered Speculation AutoExpress is just as interested in the styling of the next NSX as the rest of us are, so they pressed a digital artist into action to 'chop the shots of the car running on the Nurburgring. What they've come away with isn't nearly as bad as we thought it might be on our last podcast. It still looks like a hotted-up Accord...

A couple of days ago Straightline posted an entry in which Honda CEO Takeo Fukui had issued an edict stating that the new NSX "must" beat the Nissan GT-R's "Ring lap record ( Honda NSX "must" be faster than GT-R at the 'Ring ). Now we learn that Honda, with their first trip to the Nürburging with this new car, just posted a 7:37 lap, which is within eight seconds of the Nissan GT-R's 7:29 lap record...

While very little information is yet known about the car, our spy photographers have reported in this morning with what they believe to be the first ever shots of the next generation Honda/Acura NSX. The mule in question certainly fits the profile for some kind of serious sports car, with a powerful nose, short rear deck, and an aggressively conceived stance on the road. The camouflage may cover the...

The Truth About Cars (Free subscription) | 21/05/2008
I agree with TTAC reviewer Stephan Wilkinson : the new Nissan GT-R is the old Honda NSX. Once people actually start driving Nissan's “everyday supercar”-- as opposed to simply jumping on the hype bandwagon and bench racing numbers supplied by Nissan-- they'll appreciate the parallel. Although I'm still looking forward to my first hands-on experience with the GT-R, the reality of the car’s true nature...

Honda’s NSX replacement has had several false starts, with the company scrapping the car’s design after the public's largely negative response to its Acura Advanced Sports Car Concept, shown at 2007’s Detroit Auto Show. Beyond the styling difficulties, ensuring the car will compete successfully with Lexus's LF-A, Nissan's GT-R, and Ferrari and Lamborghini’s [...]
