Judith Wakefield put an ad in a local paper to sell her Honda CR-V and Express Match quickly offered to sell it for a £99.95 fee, with a £90 refund if the buyer took out finance through them. She was told 14 people were interested in her car so she paid – and hasn’t heard anything [...]

I went from New York to Pittsburgh, PA for a wedding last weekend. Rather than ride in my cramped car with two college buddies of much greater stature (and girth), we departed for the Iron City in a 160,000 mile Honda CR-V. I was just shocked at how pleasant it was for a road trip [...]

Land Rover has won two prestigious accolades in the Auto Express New Car Honours awards, beating tough competition to win Best Compact SUV and Best Premium SUV. The Land Rover Freelander 2 fought off the likes of the VW Tiguan, Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4 and Ford Kuga in what is one of the most [...]

A Kissimmee woman died Monday after a car accident in Orange County, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. Shirley Miller, 82, was traveling east on Lancaster Road when the front end of her 1993 Nissan struck the left side of Judith Vega's 2006 Honda CR-V. Vega was traveling north on Winegard Road. Miller was pronounced dead at Orlando Regional Medical Center at 9:25 a.m, the report said. Vega,...

Last week I took some time off of work and we took our last trip of the summer. We packed up the new Honda CR-V and headed down to San Diego to visit my sister, see the zoo, and, most importantly, go to LEGOLand! The directions to get down there are pretty simple from our [...]

A friend of mine has a 1997 Honda CR-V, which he bought used a few years ago. It is generally in good shape but has a problem that has become more and more alarming during the past year or so. Sometimes, while driving, the engine will start to race, and the car refuses to slow down.

How would a diesel-powered Honda CR-V sound to you for a taxi? While we doubt that will happen here in the States –at least not in the near future,...

I watched a 2009 Subaru Forester climb a nasty, rock-ragged truck trail that left a Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V stuck with wheels spinning and dirt flying. A Jeep Wrangler would have had a rough ride up that hill, but the all-wheel-drive Forester managed without ripping up the trail or undercarriage. I doubt the mild-mannered family on a backcountry outing would ever try such a stunt, but the opportunity...

Rusty Blackwell on the 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Typical of the latest Toyota hybrids, the Highlander's hybridness is successfully seamless. Now say that sentence five times fast ... I'm a big supporter of vehicles this size ( Ford Escape , Saturn Vue, Honda CR-V , etc.), because they're more car than many owners of big-dog SUVs ever need. The Highlander is particularly nice because of its third...

The Volkswagen Tiguan is headed this way to compete in the highly competitive Compact SUV segment, which includes the likes of the Honda CR-V, RAV4 and Ford Escape. The sharp-looking SUV has a lot going for it, including the beloved turbocharged 2.0-Liter fourbanger found in a wide range of Audi and VW products. Unfortunately for VW, a weak dollar and features designed to meet the high expectations...
