interesting... it is curious I had wondered about Chris Schmidt applying his intensity on the bike to mountain bike racing rather than road races or alley cat racing then I hear that he raced at the Kelly Acres Event in Fredneck this weekend past heard it was a righteous good time people loved the course perhaps I need to do some fact checking but that is not my style good job chris looking forward...

Over the last 10 days I have sea-kayaked, windsurfed and mountain biked across Scotland from Galloway to the Grampians. It has been a fantastic outdoor experience. Today we mountain biked deep into the heart of the Cairngorm mountains making our way to high ground through stands of the ancient Caledonian forest. It is a high plateau with deep glacial valleys radiating out from its heart.

Thank you to whoever invented cycling and the mountain bike. Thank you to the mountain for letting us play on you. Thank you for a way to leave behind worries and burdens for a few moments. And if I don't well then I'll be on the ground cause you can't corner and downhill unless you're focused on the moment.

> Nerve’s dating advice from fixed gear bikers! What can you tell about the sexual proclivities of a guy who rides: a road bike? He’ll need time to adjust as the pace quickens or slows. So give him time, and let him know as he’s approaching a hill. a mountain bike? He’ll relish the unpredictable bumps and holes as a [...]

Well I ended up spending over a week in Bolivias bonkers capital La Paz and shamefully didnt accomplish much more than visiting virtually every bar and nightclub the place had to offer. Did manage to do some arguably more worthwhile activities however most notably a mountain bike trip down the selfproclaimed Worlds Most Dangerous Road which is fairly selfexplanatory. From the 5000m

BikeBiz report that composite specialist John Barnard (first composite F1 chassis) is working on developing a new high end folding bike. Given the results of F1 designer Jon Whyte's forays into bike design (Whyte MTB and Mezzo folder), Barnard's efforts may be well worth watching.
