The European Parliament today agreed legislation to reform the telecoms sector after obtaining a compromise on the last open issue from the EU Council. It was agreed that the conditions for restricting internet access should be proportionate and in line with the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
