A Researcher and lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba, Mr. Vincent Adzahlie, has asked Ghanaians to desist from mob violence. He said there have been cases when alleged suspects who have turned out to be innocent have been beaten by a mob, a situation which could have been averted if the suspect had been handed over to the Police. He said anybody could be a victim of mob violence.

Child rights advocates have said there is still room for expansion of the definition of 'children involved in armed conflict' and formalizing both preventive and protective measures to address the issue, twenty years following the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), 11 years following the Optional Protocol (OP) and two years consequent to the Paris Principles (PP).
