The 50-year-old son of the former President of Gabon, Omar Bongo Ondimba, who died last June in Barcelona, Spain, is no novice to Gabonese political landscape. Yet he centred his political campaign on change, and it is now pressing on him to deliver on his electoral promises.

Excoriated for using this term, Alan Clark once produced a letter from the then President of Gabon, Omar Bongo. Well, Gabon now has a new President. Omar's son. Whose name is ... Ali Bongo! I found these two lines from an article about a recent election in Gabon very thought-provoking.
