The Governor Hotel added a west wing in 1923 to accommodate the Portland Elks Club, and took its architectural guidance from the Farnese Palace in Rome. Dining includes Jake's Grill, which showcases a brass and mahogany bar, carved wooden columns, historic photos and mounted wild game.
