The Arcotel Velvet opened in March 2004 and is trumpeted as the most cutting edge design hotel in the centre of Berlin. Part of the four star Arcotel chain, the Velvet brings the same philosophy of style, value for money and charming hotels in excellent locations to the centre of Berlin. The hotel features a hi-tech glass and aluminium facade, contrasting with an interior full of warmth, comfort and velvety luxury. Light is everywhere, streaming through the glass facade and illuminating the lobby, reception and stairways. In the restaurant, the emphasis is on high quality Austrian cuisine, from Gastronomic chef Josef Laggner, and a wide-ranging wine list.
