At a Windows Mobile 6.1 seminar in Taiwan, Asus shows us its latest addition of PDA phone, the P565. It is said that the Asus P565 is powered by a Marvell 800MHz processor, 256MB ROM and 128MB RAM. It has a 2.8-inch touch display and will support 2.5G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. Source

A picture depicting an unknown Asus smartphone has surfaced on the Internet. There is speculation that the phone is the P565. While the phone might seem rather bland at first glance, it’s supposedly the first smartphone to tout an 800MHz processor, which certainly is no slouch. Other details of this phone include a VGA screen, European HSDPA, 3 megapixel auto-focus camera and GPS.

ASUS has recently unveiled its competitor to the original HTC Touch smartphone called P552w. The device competes with the original HTC Touch and not the Diamond because of the QVGA (240×320 pixels) screen, as opposed to VGA (480×640 pixels) which is used in the Diamond. Not yet the Xda Zest by Asus I wrote about earlier last month, pda.pl received some information about the so far unknown Asus Glaxy7 (Zest) which seems to be an interesting Windows Mobile touchscreen smartphone. According to pda.pl, the Galxy7 features Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and support quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE/ as well as triband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUAP plus WiFi, Bluetooth and aGPS. The flat 3.5"...

Another day, another Asus product announcement - but here's a surprise: The smart phone it has announced isn't branded as part of the Eee range, despite there being scope for calling it the Eee-T as you can use it to "phone home".
