One of the main problem or shall I say set back in Microsoft Outlook 2007 is the lack of advanced options when it comes to backing up and exporting your Outlook data. When I had a Dell Axim PDA, saving my data in Outlook is a troublesome, backing up is another. Same goes for my [...]

Here’s one of the many questions facing device makers targeting the mini notebook and netbook markets: When business users or consumers want to access the Web on the go, will they be willing to set aside a smartphone or cellphone and instead log on using a next-generation PDA? Dell may be wagering the answer is [...]

Subway maps for major cities are a necessity for international travelers. I've always tried to find ways to have a digital version handy on my mobile device. Back in the days when I first moved to NYC, I used to keep a Dell Axim PDA on me. I would download a NYC Bus Map as PDF and check it via mobile acrobat. The folks at PixelBeatPaper out of the UK is bringing major cities' subway maps to Symbian...

AxDroid - Android on Dell Axim x51v from Ertan D. on Vimeo. Just because you CAN run Android on a Dell Axim x51v, should you? Although it doesn’t seem to make much sense to run Android on an antiquity like this Dell Axim PDA, I can’t help but admire Ertan D. for his creativity and know-how. There are [...]

I received this message today on my Dell AXIM x51v. I'm guessing this is an internal battery that keeps the clock etc. running if you take out the main battery. Does anyone know if this battery is user replaceable, and if so how one replaces it? Thanks, Norm
