If Technorati limit feed bodies to 140 characters don’t they already have a “decentralized” Twitter? And search. And advertising platform. And ping. And funding. And… identi.ca who?

Twitter is a shambolic mess, reminiscient of a 2008 version of how hotmail was back in 1998 when I stopped using it. How many of you remember hotmail pre microsoft. I do. It worked fine. Then it became popular and it become really slow. That’s when I spread to have ten to twenty e-mail accounts [...]

On his Blogger.com profile page, Twitter co-founder Evan Williams describes himself as "a farm boy from Nebraska, who's been very lucky in business and life". That luck seemed to be running out in recent months, when Twitter - the microblogging and messaging service created by Jack Dorsey, Biz Stone and Williams himself - struggled to cope with massive growth. Instead of their Tweets, users were frequently...

I've been using Twitter for a couple of months now, it's a mostly pointless service that I keep going back to. Some days I can think of lots to write but most days I can't think of anything. I think I'm trying too hard to post something useful or interesting rather than just something random. I'm following a number of people now, some of them post generally interesting stuff thats happening others...

Here are the reasons why I'm not loving Twitter: 1. Yummy London Mummy and I both can't post both of our Twitter feeds on our blog. Either YLM or I can post to the blog. But not both of us. 2. After an hour of tweaking around to try and set up a dual post, I finally gave up, and decided we would post TWO Twitter widgets to the site - which, FYI looked terrible. 3. What happens? My tweets cannibalized...

Some things are easier to illustrate by doing than by trying to offer an explanation. Take social media , for instance. Just what is it? Sometimes, it feels like trying to explain where the wind comes from, and where in the world it's headed. We know it's all around us, and that it has an impact, but beyond that, things can get sketchy. Today, along with a pair of publicists from Newman Communications...

Did you lose a substantial number of Twitter followers overnight? I did. Down from 150ish to 76. I noticed that Ed Dale is down from 7,000+ to under 5,000. Joel Comm was almost at 2,500 and is now at under 2,000. Searching Twitter found these recent comments… “i went from 71 to 27 followers and im only following [...]

Sophia literally jumped and shouted when she saw the American Girl store. She hasn’t come down yet. # At American Girl you can get your doll’s hair styled. While I was posting posting my own fail story, a bunch of Twitter residents decided to start riffing on the phrase ‘EPIC FAIL’ (maybe as a result of this article?). I’m not sure who started it, but I thought I’d paste in the relevant tweets from the people I follow: Kurafire: EPIC HAIL Molly: EPIC SAIL Kurafire: [...]
