Google Wave works well as standalone system for chat, file sharing and so on. However, it also gives you the option to add extensions which enhance your experience and the range of functions it can perform. Extensions can be thought of as similar to Facebook applications; just as you can install apps to customise the [...] © This is a post from Zath! - Hi Tech Gadgets & Tech News Blog (UK),...

Twitter has quickly become the must-have channel for conference back-chat. Reading what other people tweet during a speech provides an extra dimension as you get a sense of what the audience is thinking. And just like passing notes in class, it’s also a lot more fun than simply sitting and listening. (remember that Facebook interview [...]

Here's what you need to do (nothing much really): Prove that you are subscribed to the Web Upd8 RSS feed or by email - a screenshot would be good but if you know another way... To add this Twitter bot, go to your contacts in the bottom left corner of Google Wave, click the "+" sign and add this: tweety-wave@appspot.com To understand better, take a look at this image: To be able to twit from...

Is anyone out there making any use of Google Wave? I got excited when I was invited to join the preview, and I can see it might well be really useful eventually. But not while hardly anyone seems to have it. I’d be interested to know if anyone is using Wave to do worthwhile work.

I received a nice email from my fellow blogger Peter McCartney from Australia offering me a Google Wave invite. Of course, I accepted and just wanted to say thanks. I just recently signed up for Google voice and am pretty impressed with it so far. The function I like the most about it is that [...]

Yes, we already posted about a new iPhone/iTouch app today (NASA Images) but like they say, one iPhone App deserves another, especially on the weekend. Here’s an iPhone/iTouch app that a lot of people have been asking for. It’s a “very simple” company named Waveboard. It’s not an official Google product. The price? 99 cents. So, [...]

It's still early days for Google Wave but already there are a large number of Gadgets and Robots being developed. If you don't know the difference, Gadgets are local, client-side (as in they run on your computer), Javascript and HTML. Robots run remotely on another server. Gadgets change how you interact with waves, whereas robots process your input in some way or pull in data from another service...
