It is certainly suggestive of something: Does this Dow Jones performance have anything to do with this? Obama's In-Trade Trend? It's the correlation that no one in polite company is discussing. There may be no causation, but it is an interesting correlation, and as Reynolds puts it, suggestive of something.

Article via Instapundit about the truth about diversity on America's college campuses with an excerpt here: In September of 2000, the University of Wisconsin at Madison and the University of Idaho were both embarrassed when they were forced to admit that they had doctored promotional photographs to make their campuses look diverse. In both cases, non-white faces were added to real student photographs...

A recent subject of interest on this blog but I wanted to point something out from this article from the CATO Institute I found thru Instapundit ... And consider the issue of government use of racial classifications. Liberal justices have been willing to uphold virtually any use of race by the government--including quotas in higher education, set-asides for government contracts, and raced-based assignments...

Article via Instapundit : For Tracy Mooney (pictured), a married mother of three in Naperville, Ill., the decision to abandon cyber-sense and invite e-mail spam into her life for a month by participating in a McAfee experiment was a bit of a lark. The idea of the Spammed Persistently All Month (S.P.A.M.) experiment — which fittingly started on April Fool's Day — was to have 50 volunteers from around...

Well, that was timely. No sooner do I put the finishing touches on what I believe is the best darn-tootin' guide in the Central Galaxy on how to start a WordPress blog site when Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit links to this: Did Google use its network of online services to silence critics of Barack Obama? That was the question buzzing on a corner of the blogosphere over the last few days, after several...

A patient comes into the doctor's office complaining of severe pain. The doctor asks, "Where does it hurt?" The patient opens his wallet and replies, "Right here, doc." (h/t Instapundit) These days, the doctor is thinking, "I feel your pain." It's a chronic pain without any cure in sight though there are plenty of witch doctors and snake oil salesmen up in congress and running for president that would...

I was over visiting KOS due to an Instapundit link and came across this gem in the comments. many of you outraged purists are getting soiled by politics for the first time, for older purists it continues to be about ideals. We have a dangerous fascist powerhouse in the military industrial complex that we're trying to shove from power. I personally would lie to defeat them. Lockheed puts out ads that...

From a reader in the military: Have you seen the new piece in the New Yorker by George Packer about how Obama's rhetoric regarding Iraq is out of date in light of the dramatic improvements in the last year? I saw it referenced at Instapundit and Ace of Spades HQ with commentary to the effect of, 'When even the New Yorker thinks Obama's Iraq plan doesn't mesh with the facts on the ground, you know he's...
