Iyonix Range Taken Off the Market

A huge blow to the already small RISC OS market and community: Castle Technology has announced that the Iyonix range of ARM-based RISC OS computers will be taken off the market after 30th September. Support will continue through the Iyonix website, the dealer network, and by email. This leaves Advantage6 as the only manufacturer of RISC OS hardware with its A9Home computer.

NetSurf 2.0 dev preview released

Unsatisfactory announces a preview/beta release of a AmigaOS 4 native port of NetSurf. NetSurf is a fast CSS-capable web browser for RISC OS and other systems. This port is incomplete but already supports:

MyRISCOS: LanMan98 upgrade under development

It is hoped that the upgrade will allow compatibility with more NAS devices than the current version allows (although it is known that several RISC OS users already use LanMan98 with the Linksys NSLU2 device). Already several posters to the mailing list have welcomed the news.

A few days ago, announced an update to their Virtual Risc PC for Macs.
