Recently at Boing Boing Gadgets, we saw new laptops from Sony and Lenovo, a space-age travel mouse, and an apoplectic video game fan. Joel wants to know about home automation platforms, John needs Fallout 3, badly, and Rob, well, Rob's been playing with the robots. And what robots! Pittsburgh's BigBots mini-festival is on, so we got electric lawn-mowing sheep, strange humming cables, cellular automata...

Sony is trying to crank-style action with a couple of new mice, but I think they were unable either. Look at the SMU-C3 for example - there is no wireless connection, and this is in a form that is certainly not win any awards ergonomic. The only saving grace is two-tone design that does not do much for your general appearance, and is available in pink, green, white and black. In SMU-M10, on the other...

Two weeks ago tomorrow, I decided to try using my new notebook PC as my only PC–using it as a mini-desktop, with my Sony 19″ LCD as a secondary display and my wireless Microsoft Natural keyboard and mouse as primary typing and pointing tools. (The keyboard on the Gateway notebook is actually just fine–but I’m [...]

Filed under: Gaming After nearly a year of playing cat-and-mouse with Sony's legal and dev teams, it looks like the heat was too much for Dark-AleX , the modder behind a couple (in)famous PSP cracks, including the " run any PSX ISO" 3.02 firmware and the bust-it-wide 3.10 " Open Edition ." In a terse posting on his website, the cracker says the effort was not only taking up too much of his time, but...
