Disclosure : I own a Netbook. I have owned one since the earliest models (the Asus EEE 901 with the horror keyboard). I didn't expect much when i purchased it, a brief Google for specs and comparisons with laptops I have already owned revealed they would not be up to much in terms of performance. They did however scream convenience, and were 30% of the cost of a full lappy. I planned no video editing...

My main machine took a huge stinky dump. It won't even boot to Safe-Mode. I got hit by some kind of Trojan while downloading a DVD-ripper that was supposedly "clean." The AVG virus scanner Resident Shield went crazy announcing infestations - infestations that reportedly were un-killable. So I turned the box off, and when I turned it back on, BlueScreen. It actually boots to the black and...

It looks like we'll have to wait a little bit longer for Asus' Eee Keyboard, which was was supposed to launch in October. That didn't happen, nor does it look like we'll see the keyboard this month because it hasn't yet passed wireless regulation testing in te U.S. and Europe. How long that will take is anyone's guess, and it's up in the air whether Asus will manage to ship the Eee Keyboard in time...

DigiTimes reports ASUS has delayed the launch of the Eee Keyboard because because the device has not yet passed wireless regulation testing. The Asus Eee Keyboard, previously confirmed for an October 2009 release, won't be out until 2010. Savvy gadget nerds probably realized this several days ago, when the netbook-inside-a-keyboard didn't launch within the one month window given. Now, Digitimes...

OK Asus, what the hell? I've drooled over your entertainment-PC-in-a-keyboard with wireless HDMI for months now. You said October looked good , but now it's delayed until early next year? At least you're making the 5-inch touchscreen a capacitive panel now. The increased responsiveness and gesture-based control better be worth the wait. RegHardware also reports that the Wi-Fi/Ultra Wide Band aerial...

It surely didn't break any record but the Eee Keyboard has been delayed multiple times now and it still isn't coming, at least not this year. According to Asus, the all-in-a-keyboard PC has been pushed back some more and is thus expected to arrive in early 2010, one year after its first showcase which was at CES 2009. The new delay isn't all the bad though as Asus is tweaking the Eee Keyboard and will...

Hopefully Asus isn't having troubles with its Eee Keyboard, as the device has just been delayed to ship sometime early next year onwards, while revisions were made including replacing its 5" resistive touchscreen display to that of a capacitative panel. This new capacitative touchscreen will be similar to those found on the iPhone as well as other high end smartphones, offering a better level...

The Asus UL30 notebook is liberating and well worth considering if you can get over the keyboard layout The Asus UL30 notebook lasts longer than some of today's smartphones, and at a penny under £600, there may not be much difference in the price. Indeed, Carphone Warehouse is now offering a version of the UL30 free with a USB dongle and 3GB of mobile broadband for £40 a month on a two-year...
