May be... Hitachi isnt one of the best makes for lcds as you've probably discovered by now. I would just cut my losses and buy another brand. They are probably lying that it works fine at their workshop so they don't have to give you a new one. Had Hitachi 26" LCD TV for approx 18months, already on second new power circuit.
