Samsung have announced the latest hard disk drive in their EcoGreen range in the form of the HD103UI EcoGreen F1 1TB hard disk drive which, according to Samsung, can be used as both an internal unit and external unit for desktops and offers up to 50% reduced power consumption in comparison to standard 1TB HDDs and around 15% less power than other low-powered 1TB HDDs.

Samsung has rolled out the EcoGreen F1, a one terabyte hard drive that uses 15 percent less power than other low-power 1TB HDDs and 50% less power than traditional 1TB HDDs.
