    In NO way could anyone argue that a Technics unit is in any way, shape of form.. or sound quality for that matter better than this, paired up with an Ortofon PRO needle this is a little beaut :) I have used many technics units and I can't pick a difference, the drive is only slightly heavier, although i do perfer this feature for mixing. I highly recommend this unit, perfect reproduction of all my classics, and sounds awesome paired to the DJM-800, Top unit, well done denon! Regards Jamie
