The first album I ever bought with my own money (earned, I think, by babysitting for one of the neighborhood kids) was a two-cassette version of Chuck Mangione’s 1978 concert recording An Evening Of Magic: Live At The Hollywood Bowl. This album, if you’ll forgive my salty language, kicks ass. An Evening of Magic was made [...]

I haven't probably dedicated much "ink" on Fiftyseven-Thirtythree , although I do admire their work and artistic approach on t-shirts immensely. In fact, I would certainly wear pretty much everything they sell on their store! Fiftyseven-Thirtythree recently released this Lincoln Selleck shirt that features Abraham Lincoln and Tom Selleck along with the Bay Bridge and Twin peaks (and the Ferrari...

It's no day in paradise for Hollywood's self-described "Tropical Back Lot." Confronting a fiscal crisis, Hawaii is laying off its film commissioner and two of her key staffers in the Hawaii Film Office in a bid to save the state...

Jules with Movember mo , originally uploaded by Racmol . As you can see, Jules's Movember mo is coming along nicely. Doesn't he look handsome - very Magnum PI, I think. However he is very depressed as nobody apart from me has sponsored him yet. Come on people! Time to put your money where his mo is . Also on flickr is a charming new photo of William.

If anyone has been on google in the last week, I think you know where this post is headed. Today marks the debut of Sesame Street's 40 th anniversary season ( TR's girl Michelle O is the guest), and as any loyal reader knows, we here at G:TB love the Sesame Street gang. However, it needs to be noted that the epic Bert and Ernie clip has been placed in the sacred Gheorghe Vault at HQ (along with O.J.'s...

Finally, someone recognizes the talent behind the pretty face that is Jason Lewis. (Insert your own eye roll here) Seriously, he might be talented…I’ve never really paid much attention to his acting. I totally bought into his peripheral boy-toy character on Sex and the City and never really thought much past his piercing blue eyes and [...]

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA (MARKET WIRE) Riffing on the Twitter lingo "hashtag", which refers to tagging tweets, Blast Radius has built a site called Stachetag.com for Movember, the month-long mustache-growing charity event for prostate cancer.

Joel Stein in Time magazine. Links, related stories and videos. Some dude outside my supermarket just asked me to sign a petition to legalize marijuana. Apparently he was so high that he forgot he's in California, where pot is already more legal than budget-balancing. Last year I was granted a medical-marijuana license, even though I'm healthy and I don't smoke weed. I went to a doctor's office that...

It's that time of the year again. The nights grow longer, and subsequently I spend more time watching TV shows online. They're all American shows and thanks to the interweb each episode is usually uploaded only hours after it is aired in the States, which saves having to wait days and months if not years for it to make it to the UK. They're also all based on premises that can only be described as "bollocks"...

It's been a long time coming for Steve Guttenberg, or "The Gutt" to his friends. He's headed back to the big time, back to the marquee... back to the 80s well.

A revisionist telling of The Three Little Pigs and The Big Bad Wolf in Lego. Via . 3. Los Angeles has a new police chief.
