They think of you. Naked: Now the Beastmaster actually stands up pretty well, as far as bad 80’s movies goes. Its cheesy as all hell, but its still fun in pretty much the same way that Xena was. But I...

The NY Times poses a question for the ages: "Who's smarter, Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg? Hmmm. Let me put it this way: Would you rather be stranded at the end of days with the Beastmaster Bill or Faceberg. Thanks to the dear readers who wrote in with an infinitely better choice.

The mix of a shaman with a marksman-hunter, a survival-hunter and two Beastmaster-hunters was freaking awesome last night. I'd like to see more of that. It dramatically increased the hunter dps as well as the Expose Weakness effect for all physical dps too.

Check out the highlights of The Beastmaster and Monkey Boy at AllThingsD are posted. Highlight: Goatberg does a great imitation of Brat-Pack-era Sammy Davis Jr. laughing just a little too hard at the Beastmaster's "funnies." The team started to count Goatberg's self-references but gave up. We have deadlines to meet people!

Right on cue--the Beastmaster must have read about the coinage of "Vistaster" as a term of art--the Borg makes scary Steve Sinofsky available to house stenographer Ina Fried for an "interview." Sinofsky thinks he's raised secrecy to an art form. Funny thing is, if we actually wanted to know anything about this hideous Son of Vista, we'd know it by now. Moshe says if you ever want to freak this guy...

Girlfriend Kara Swisher's doing the Beastmaster's bidding this week, talking up the borg's alleged "organic" Web-search-and-ad stew . Project Granola they call it. The thinking is that Microsoft has so much cool crap in house it doesn't need no stinkin' Yahoo. Yeah. Okay. We've heard about the billions the Borg spends on R&D. Problem is, no one can think of one truly creative thing it's ever done....

I’ll never forget watching MTV’s Remote Control as a kid and being completely obsessed with Kari Wuhrer (then only 20 years old). She was Ken Ober’s hot little assistant. And who could forget the movie Beastmaster II: Through the Portal of Time? Kari Wuhrer is the perfect combination of Marisa Tomei and Susanna Hoffs [...]

Now it's going to pay poor losers on the web to buy stuff found with Microsoft's inadequate Live Search. So now the plan is to buy Google users one at a time? Interesting.... I know they have more money than God, but someone remind Beastmaster Bill that the idea is for customers to pay you for your mediocre stuff. Not vice versa.

As I've noted elsewhere HP's takeover of Compaq destroyed essentially all of HP's pre-takeover value and left the Compaq organization operating as HP. Now they've announced their intention of taking over EDS. On the good news side there won't be a culture clash...

So says Henry Blodget of Alley Insider. (See here. ) Henry views Facebook's decision to take on debt (leasing $100 million worth of servers) as a sign that it can't raise money at its much-vaunted $15 billion valuation, which wouldn't be surprising since that was always a ridiculous figure. Blodget's theory: Facebook "couldn't sell any more equity at $15 billion, and it didn't want to do a down round,...

Regular readers will remember that I recently warned Facebook kiddies to "be very afraid" because their new boss, ex-Google honcho Sheryl Sandberg, would soon begin thinning the ranks at Facebook: "Slowly, one by one, she will start picking you off. Like a predator in one of those sci-fi movies where people keep going missing." Sure enough, now comes word that the company's CTO, a guy who has been...
