We went to see Johnny Clegg play last night; it was brilliant. Hot and sweaty (lots of dancing people and no ventilation) but brilliant. And it felt great to dance again. Today's good too. Clegg said that just because old IT equipment had been handed over to a “recycler”, companies were obliged to ensure that equipment was correctly and safely recycled. Clegg said...

There are lots of useful items that you can make out of old tyres. Tyre swings, planters, houses, art or even religious icons. Here’s an idea of how to upcycle old tyres that's as old as, well, as old as the tyre itself. People have been walking all over Africa in car [...]

I have been a fan of Johnny Clegg since the late 80's/early 90's and this is one of my all-time favorite songs. His band, Savuka, formed during a time when apartheid and the torture and deaths of those who fought it were at the worst. Just the existence of a band with both whites and blacks was a protest against the government but also their incredible music and lyrical images told a better

They made such shocking revelations about the industry that they loved and had chosen for their careers. They gave testimonies of how [...]
