Sure, we love Gareth Gates ‘ version of “Spirit In The Sky,” but you can’t beat Norman Greenbaum’s original. And the video’s way trippy… Oh, and before you get all bent over the Jesus talk, Greenbaum’s simply a Jew who had a bit of Christ-like inspiration. It wouldn’t happen again: this was the singer’s only hit.
