It was kept on the CTA Roster for fantrips, charters and special occasions...until the official end of Chicago streetcar operations on June 21st, 1958.

So, last Sunday (the 28th), Tiffany and I went to watch the (gay) Pride Parade here in Chicago. It was our first year going and one thing that I found pleasantly surprising was how many stereotypes were pretty much blown to pieces by the marchers. Here are some pictures I took challenging conventional wisdom on [...]

The Chicago Transit Authority will have to make do with $35 million less this year after the Regional Transportation Authority board cut the operating budgets of Chicago-area transit agencies by $67 million Thursday. The severe shortfall is the result of declining tax revenues. Metra will have to reduce $19 million in spending and Pace loses $7 million. Pace's paratransit program for disabled riders...

A northbound Chicago Transit Authority Route # 52A South Kedzie Avenue bus, is approaching the bus stop at West 111th Street. The transit bus seen here, is a 1990's era Nova low floor model.
