Above: Kermit debuted his new album last month in San Francisco at the Great American Music Hall, paired with a menu by Alice Waters. It’s a funny thing about the food and wine world: so many of the folks I know who work as food and wine professionals have at some point in their lives played [...]
"Fantasy, it gets the best of me When I'm sailing, all caught up in the reverie" I've being listening to Yacht Rock all day. Hence the Christopher Cross reference. Even made a Yacht Rock mix. Got me some Cross, the Michael McDonald-led Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan, Hall & Oates, Boz Scaggs, Toto, Kenny Loggins...all of it. So white. So smooth. So wonderful. So far so good with the Oilers...
Instead of spending another post ruminating about October songs, I think I’ll just be a DJ and play five of ‘em, on the radio this week in 1976, of course. This one was recorded live at a show on December 31, 1976: (Check out a version of “Lido Shuffle” from the same show here.) Someday I’m going [...]

We sat about five feet from Boz, who is still lanky and cool after all these years. (The video below from his 2004...
