Rowles, the daughter of pianist and composer Jimmy Rowles, was a fixture in the L.A. jazz scene. She had built a following in Europe, where she regularly toured. Stacy Rowles, a jazz trumpet and fluegelhorn player and vocalist who was the daughter of pianist and composer Jimmy Rowles, has died. She was 54.
