IT BEGGARS belief that people are still continuing to flout the city centre car ban - when it has been in place for more than a year. The scheme has attracted plenty of controversy and many still question whether it is the right thing to do with St Mary Street.

IT IS nothing short of a disgrace that hundreds of Cardiff orthopaedic patients have been left floundering in the waiting list queue. In many cases these people will have painful and debilitating conditions which need prompt treatment.

THE last time the South Wales Echo squared up to religion, religion – in the guise of Stephen “Birdshit” Green – shouted back BOO! The paper scuttled away in full panic mode, apologised to Christians for offending them, and promptly removed the offending item – a column by Dan O’Neill – from its website. Well, [...]

Despite descending rapidly into irrelevance and bankruptcy, failed fundamentalist lobby group Stephen Green’s Voice (aka Christian Voice) is still twitching in South Wales. The Cynical Dragon informs us that a recent column by Dan O’Neil in the South Wales Echo on the subject of Stephen Green and his anti-gay activities prompted a six-strong protest in that [...]

Word has reached me (not the 'word' by the way, I'm still a committed atheist) that the offices of the South Wales Echo have been invaded by a crack detachment of the South Wales God Squad. Thomson House's foyer this morning was the scene of ugly demonstrations (well the leaflets and message was pretty dreadful) complaining about the blasphemy in yesterday's edition of the Echo. The 'squad' consisted...

LAST night, in Cardiff's soggy Bute Park, there was a kind of miracle. Several thousand women took something seemingly unredeemably awful and turned it into something positive. They took their grief over lost loved-ones and friends and they used it to motivate themselves to run.
