I've been looking around for a comic I think I'll beable to get into that's a little less mainstream so it won't intimidate me with 400 issues as well as another 400 cross over back story BS anyways I'm looking for something that's darker then most but still has some humor too it, and what I really...
Earlier this month it was reported that Method Man was arrested for tax-evasion, apparently failing to file returns from 2004 to 2007 and consequently owing over $30K. I hope (doubt') this will lead to any actual jail time for Johnny Blaze, but what really caught my geek eye is the fact that Meth was apparently [...]
Filed under: Music , News Rapper Method Man (a.k.a. Clifford Smith) was recently arrested for tax evasion to the tune of $32,000, something that he told reporters was a simple oversight: "Because I got high, I forgot to pay." More interesting to me than his unsurprising level ... Read more Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
Method Man, a member of Staten Island's hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan, was arrested yesterday for tax evasion. He turned himself to the 120th Precinct and when he was taken to his arraignment, he used a copy of "Ultimate X-Men" to cover his face. Really—video below. According to the Staten Island Advance , "Officials allege Smith didn't file New York State Income Tax Returns from...
Wu-Tang rapper Method Man was released on his own recognizance today (October 5) after being arraigned on tax-evasion charges. Method Man (born Clifford Smith ) clutched an Ultimate X-Men graphic novel during the noon proceedings at Stapleton Criminal Court. He appeared to be holding his page with his thumb as he held the book behind his back during the arraignment. Earlier today, the New York bred...
Right after you thought it was over, Lauren Schuler Donner reveals that she's pushing for more X-Films besides the supposed "First Class" rumor that was going around. According to SlashFilm, Lauren says that she's pushing an X-4, reuniting the original cast. I'm not sure how the original cast actually feels about this, nor did she feel like commenting on that, but I really can't imagine an...

And we come to the end of August, which has turned into Ultimate month here at the reread reviews. That wasn't done on purpose, but once I'd done three weeks of Mark Millar Ultimate stuff, I figured why not finish it with two weeks of Warren Ellis? After all, I like Ellis's work more -- [...]
I have to admit that it is a real treat to be given the opportunity to review this particular installment from The Write Environment , hosted by creator and writer Jeffrey Berman, given that I recently returned from my second year at Comic-Con. Here are a few highlights from the interviews with comic book legends Geoff Johns, Mark Waid and Marv Wolfman, who are featured on The Write Environment: Comic...
So, um. Is it just me, or is Ultimatum TERRIBLE? I mean, granted, I've never been a huge fan of the Ultimate universe period (except for a brief fondness for parts of Ultimate Fantastic Four and Ultimate X-Men) but...isn't going all scorched earth a bit much? I might just be annoyed at the whole Magneto thing. Or the Cyclops thing. Or... Then again, I'm still holding a grudge over that Blob and Wasp...
After last week’s rerun reread review where I tore into Mark Millar’s Ultimate X-Men, I said that I would have a sequel of sorts this week — and it’s a book I actually enjoy! My just-now-decided Ultimate Marvel Month of reread reviews that ties into the end of Ultimatum and launches of Ultimate Comics Avengers [...]
Previously published on GraphiContent, this week’s post should be new for most of you. I think it’s one of my better pieces of writing about a comic run. This version is edited a bit, but not much. Next content next week as well as something else beginning later today. Spoilers, of course. Ultimate X-Men: Ultimate [...]
