Columbia Pictures has hired Tropic Thunder writer Etan Cohen to pen the script for Men in Black 3 . There are no deals yet in place for franchise director Barry Sonnenfeld and stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones to return. The studio is looking to start filming the third installment in 2010, perhaps as early as the spring. The first two films combined to earn nearly $1.1 billion worldwide.
