Watchmen has to be one of the most anticipated films of next year. An adaptation of one of the most well-received graphic novels ever created, and directed by 300’s Zack Snyder, the impressive trailer set fanboy forums on fire last month, with most agreeing on its authentic feel. Yet, the curse of the project returns [...]

After years of doubt, arguably the best comic book - sorry, 'graphic novel' - ever written is finally getting a well-deserved cinematic outing. It's obvious from the phenomenal trailer that 300 -director Zack Snyder, his cinematographer and hundreds of behind-the-scenes CG gurus can deliver the visuals, but it's the great casting that caught my eye. These characters literally look as if they've stepped...

----------- For some time my son has been urging me to read the graphic novel 'Watchmen'. After going and seeing a 'graphic novel' of Frank Miller's on the big screen (i.e. 300), I was intrigued. Dave kept telling me I would find this an exercise in fertility rather than futility. And then we he showed me the teaser preview of the movie Watchmen which will be out next year, I figured it was time to...

FROM SPLASH PAGE: By the end of “300,” the Persians had won, the Hot Gates were passed, and King Leonidas and his men, each and every one save Dilios the Storyteller, were killed. So, of course, they’re all coming back for the seemingly-confirmed sequel, right? Well maybe someone should tell Frank Miller, who seemed perplexed when we posed the question to him. Read More…

Filed under: Festival Reports , ComicCon Watchmen was, hands down, the best panel I've seen at con this year. (It also had the best swag -- a "Who Watches the Watchmen?" t-shirt!) I don't think I have been as stunned by preview film footage since Zack Snyder brought 300 two years ago. I don't think even Snyder's detractors can deny that he can turn out some cool footage. And let's just cut to my paltry...
