Ugh! I'm sick of adverts telling us films like this are "by" Tim Burton. The film wasn't "by" Tim Burton, nor was it "from" Tim Burton, he funded it. He didn't write it, he didn't direct it, he just produced it and that usually involves funding it or adverts to make it more well known. It's not the first time a film has been misleading in telling us things like the film...

Paramount Pictures wants to reward all of the internet moviegoers which helped make Paranormal Activity a viral phenomenon. Sure, some might argue that the marketing campaign was a very calculated attempt to make it feel like the audience "made the success" of the movie, and those people might not be wrong (but who cares? really...). Paramount is now taking that marketing concept to the release...

For months, I've had so much coming at me, that I just keep treading water, and eventually, I just started floating and watching it all go by, responding only to those things that demanded my response. It's just about getting from here to there. I'm not unhappy, I'm just tired. When your husband's job consumes your lives for 36 months, you just have to be grateful for what it gives you, and wait all...

Those wacky Twilight books are being adapted again. This time, as Barbie dolls . Entertainment Weekly has "first look" photos of the film version of Diary of a Wimpy Kid , and honestly...meh. Equally unimpressive, the trailer for How To Train Your Dragon is now online. Ah, generic CGI cartoons -- I hate you and the stupid families that make you profitable. Ian McKellen, whom we expect will put on Gandalf's gray robes in director Guillermo del Toro's upcoming Hobbit movies, tells us he's finally read the script for the film. And, no, he won't tell us much about it, except that producer Peter Jackson (who co-wrote the script with longtime Lord of the Rings collaborators Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens, as well as del Toro) wrote it specifically for him....

Isn't weird that even though a movie makes lots of money and is considered a huge success, no one wants to see a sequel. And yet movies that barely make any money somehow get sequels that no one wants (e.g. Ghost Rider)? Well, the good news is that we probably won't see a District 9 sequel for a few years.
