After being in Ottawa all week, I need to get grounded again. Gord had a fencing tournament in St. Catharines and was gone all day. He came in 31 out of 55. I walked to the library and back ... I took KC for a couple walks. The rest of the day was spent on the couch chillaxin' and watching movies ... and it felt goooood! I watched: Point Break - It had been years since I'd seen it ... it wasn't as...

Forbes Magazine just came out with its annual list of the most overpaid stars in Hollywood , which it generates via a somewhat complicated metric that looks at their last three films and compares their paychecks, the films' budgets, and the money those films brought in via theatrical, TV, and DVD release. The list isn't a snotty, opinion-laden "Why does Keanu Reeves still get paid to make movies?"...

" New Moon " the latest offering in the "Twilight" series, based on the books of the same name by Stephanie Meyer, is a critic-proof movie. Just ask the estrogen-filled throngs flooding the 14 midnight showings at my local theater, voraciously consuming the development of the vampire-human-werewolf love triangle of Edward, Bella, and Jacob. An informal straw poll of the XX-ers...

I would like to make love in that alien way to you. Enter you extraterrestrially. This is a love poem about the science of Keanu, about the existence of the soul using only one's movie hands. I would like to bring a dead deer back to life in front of your car. I would like to make a salad with you about the existence of the soul after you have killed it with your body or your truck or fucking too many...

Carl Rinsch is a name perhaps best known to those in the advertisement world, but the commercial director has been poised to break into the feature film world for some time now. His name had been attached to direct Fox's reboot/prequel to Ridley Scott's Alien , until it became apparent that Scott wanted to direct as well as produce. I don’t know how to take that," he told us, laughing. "I think I'll take it." See more in our Party Lines...

Even though it’s not a specific diet he’s following, the actor explains he eats healthy. “I don’t take liberties with what I eat,” he said. Reeves includes in every meal vegetables, rice, pasta, and chicken. He prefers to eat three meals a day, in small but not restrictive portions. He also likes to have a beer or a glass of wine,
