I would like to digitally scan several hundred 35mm slides that were taken by my parents. Options seem to be to buy a suitable scanner for around £80 and do it myself or to send them away to a specialist. Has anyone else tried this and if so what method would you recommend? John Savage

Since setting up my own business 14 years ago I have always assumed I would retire at 60, which was the retirement age with my previous employer. As that time approaches (I am now 54) I am not so sure whether I will want to stop at this time but maybe carry on for a few more years.
