Inspired by the classic Universal film that launched a legacy of horror, The Wolfman brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins. Oscar winner Benicio Del Toro stars as Lawrence Talbot, a haunted nobleman lured back to his family estate after his brother vanishes. Reunited with his estranged father (Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins), Talbot sets out to find his brother...and discovers a...

What to do about The Wolfman ? Originally, this was a fantastic idea. Universal was going all the way back to its vaults and reintroducing the monster movies of the 1930s, most of which have stood the test of time. You had Rick Baker doing make-up effects (the created the Oscar in that category for his work on An American Werewolf in London , still unsurpassed), and Mark Romanek ( One Hour Photo )...

Set in the late 1880s, the film keeps the plotline of the original, with Lawrence Talbot (Benicio del Toro) reuniting with his estranged father (Anthony Hopkins) following the disappearance of his brother. The film details events during Lawrence's past that led to his conflict with his father (which includes Gwen); and the setting is changed from the mythical Welsh village of Llanwelly to the English...

Here’s the newest poster for the upcoming film Wolfman starring Emily Blunt and Benicio Del Toro. She looks scared, this movie just doesn’t look very scary. I have huge doubts about this one, I’m expecting it to be bad. Why else would they have pushed it’s release to mid February? Oh well, maybe I’ll be wrong. Source: [...]

So who or what is on it, if it's not the Wolfman himself? Just Emily Blunt, who plays Gwen Conliffe, that's all. Cinematical has debuted the first teaser poster for Joe Johnston's The Wolfman, which we've seen two trailers for so far. I think this is a clear sign that Universal does not know how to market this movie. Its been plagued with production problems, even reshoots, and they release two very...

Instead of having a menacing picture of Benicio del Toro as THE WOLFMAN, we've got his fair lady. The black and white poster shows Emily Blunt terrified, hiding behind a tree hoping the wolf doesn't find her. If you've seen the trailer, it's the scene that they end on. What I really like about this, is it almost looks like a sketch. It's also intriguing that they left off Benicio adding to the suspense....

The official poster for director Joe Johnston's The Wolfman hit the web today. It's a nice moody splash of high contrast black and white featuring Emily Blunt, which seems to be designed to suggest the presence of the wolfman, rather than show him outright. Check it out directly below. Based on the 1941 classic of the same name, The Wolfman tells of Lawrence Talbot (Benicio Del Toro), an actor who...
