The Office's Kelly and Erin penned their girl group Subtle Sexuality's first single, " Male Prima Donna ," after co-worker Ryan, but it would also apply to Levi Johnston. He's officially a first-class idiot after being spotted earlier this week at JFK airport, wearing sunglasses and refusing to stand on line with the "regular" passengers. Among the commoners? Seinfeld star Jason...
Someone seems to be getting a little too big for their britches — er, or lack thereof. Playgirls latest “It” boy, Levi Johnston, reportedly tried to act more like an A-Class movie star than a media-whore-turned-nudie-model Tuesday at JFK airport. He refused to stand in line with the ‘regular folks’ that included “Seinfeld’s” sidekick, Jason [...]

An MTA-hired subcontractor severed a jet fuel line that was targeted by would-be terrorists in 2007 , spilling 500 gallons of gasoline at the corner of Skillman Avenue and 37th Street. The workman was doing maintenance work for the MTA when he drilled into the Buckeye Pipeline, a 12-inch tube that rests four feet below street level and carries eight million gallons of fuel and refined petroleum into...

Today is the 8th anniversary of Flight 587 , the American Airlines flight that crashed into Belle Harbor, Queens in 2001. The flight had taken off from JFK Airport, on its way to the Dominican Republic; turbulent air led the co-pilot to use the rudder to keep the plane up, but the rudder broke off. All 260 people on board—251 passengers and 9 crew members—were killed, as were five people...
Finnish-born architect and product designer Eero Saarinen was notable for his use of many different architectural materials and methods of construction, never settling on a 'signature' style. However, the flowing concrete lines of the TWA Terminal at New York's JFK airport (and to an extent his Tulip chair for Knoll) are what the majority would associate with him. The works mentioned above are very...
The latest Rihanna single cover has the singer topless. A strategically positioned arm prevents the shot from becoming a Playboy cover. It's the latest racy promotional move for Rihanna's new album Rated R. Rihanna's seen here at JFK airport where she's heading to London to make an appearance on... ...read full story
The Bear Stearns building rises high above Park Avenue in Manhattan, but the trial of two of its ex-hedge fund executives played out in a Brooklyn courtroom. And that seems to have confused the jurors and raised questions in their deliberations, which began yesterday. The WSJ Law Blog reports that jurors sent a note to the judge asking that he, "Please explain venue further." In their closing...
One of my favorite Mad Men episodes is Season 2, Episode 4: Three Sundays. The episode incorporates the very real crash of an American Airlines jet shortly after takeoff from what is now JFK airport into the story line. In this episode, the fictional advertising agency of Sterling Cooper is preparing to pitch American Airline [...]

When New York state last week added a 50-cent tax to all cab fares in NYC, among the things it’s messed up is the $45 flat-rate price for the trip between JFK Airport and Manhattan. The 50-cent “MTA Tax,” which went into effect Nov. 1, was approved by state lawmakers and the city’s Taxi and Limousine Commission. The full taxi rules are online (in pdf format.)
