NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Becton Dickinson & Co. said Tuesday that it has declared a quarterly dividend of 37 cents a share, which represents a 12.1% increase from the previous quarter's payout. The dividend will be payable Jan. 4 to holders of record as of Dec. 14. The medical-technology company also said its board authorized the repurchase of up to 10 million of its common shares.
