NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Southwest Airlines Co. said Thursday that traffic in August fell 5.2% and capacity rose 1.5% compared with the same month a year ago. Load factor, or the percentage of the plane filled with passengers, fell to 74.6% from 80.0%, the carrier said.
