"A firm favourite from the start, Dream Home was constantly played with by children throughout the exhibition who were attracted by the playful small house covered in children's toys made as a response to the consumerism and consumption in our society which starts from a very young age. Readers of this blog may have read my Dead Paris Hilton post and my Britney Spears Crowning post. Anyway, on with the propaganda show. The beautiful old poem of Ozymandias is deeply study by the sculptor Mark Smalley in an unique personal point of wiew. Very interesting! OZYMANDIAS I met a traveller from an antique land Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. Near them on the sand, Half sunk, a shatter’d visage lies, whose frown And wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command Tell that its sculptor well those
There is something eternal and mysterious about combining the basic elements of earth, water, fire and air to create objects of great beauty and permanence, no doubt.
