Those sort of things were things better kept in my head where my imagination can play. I remember...

Currently Loving: My maths teacher's total obliviousness to the youth of today's language. Today we had to explain what LOL, ROFL and LMAO meant. He thought the latter was LAMO, as in, what a lame joke. He seemed to get that alot. Maybe it's just cause I'm growing up. Maybe everyone thinks the world is ageing with them, that the prospect of something once so well loved is now looked upon as babyish...

As folks plot out their holiday gift-giving, I'm starting a new near-daily series here at Isak that will run through the season and that has a very simply, very direct message: Choose books as your gifts. You know, of course, that book industry is downright precarious right now--publisher layoffs are old news, fewer authors are getting published in the trimmed lists, book sales are down, and influential...

Republished from Glyn Moody the tireless advocate of openness: “In response to a tweet of mine about shortening copyright to stimulate creativity, someone questioned the logic. Call it due diligence...Okay, my work is close to a Walmart so I went there on my lunch hour. I got into the mood by getting a quarter pounder from the in store McDonald's, read a copy of US Magazine to find out why the Bachelor dumped Melissa Rycroft, then went to find Ford County, John Grisham's short story collection 16.99. The store was pretty busy, but I was the only person in the book section...

A rather intense new image still from Wild Target has surfaced online! Click here to see it, bearing in mind it does include a firearm. You can learn more about Wild Target via our handy Filmography page. Additionally, the film will be screening tomorrow and Monday as part of the American Film Market. These are, sadly, private screenings geared towards American distributors.
