Art pieces by French sculptor César Baldaccini- known as the king of compression - are being shown at the Fondation Cartier in Paris to commemorate 10 years since the artist died. His friend and renowned architect came up with the idea.

This is a sculpture called “Le Pouce” by French Sculptor Cesar Baldaccini. It represents the finger “symbol” of hitchhiking and is one of three sculptures in a collection of which one was recently purchased for a huge $1.745 Million. This one was created in 1965 and weighs a massive 18 tonnes and stands at 12 meters in height.
